Craig L. Taylor, Attorney

Craig L. Taylor is the firm’s managing partner. He is a 1984 graduate of Brigham Young University Law School where he served as Executive Editor of the BYU Law Review.  He also obtained a Masters Degree in Business Administration from BYU. He is a 1980 graduate of Utah State University (Political Science and Education), where he played college basketball. Craig is married to the former Reva Walker, and they are the parents of eight daughters. They have owned and operated several businesses. Craig has a broad range of business law experience and has counseled business owners in every phase of the business, from acquisition or start-up to sale of the business. He serves as outside general counsel to many small and medium sized businesses.  He is experienced in real estate, finance, estate planning, and asset protection.  Craig also understands state, local, and federal regulatory compliance issues having served as a Kaysville City Council Member from 1990 - 1993 and as a Utah State Senator representing Central Davis County from 1995-1998.  Prior to establishing Craig L. Taylor & Associates in October 1993, Craig was a partner and director at a large Salt Lake City firm, where he worked for almost nine years.  He also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Stephen H. Anderson at the United States Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.


Willis F. McComas, Attorney    *also admitted in California

Mr. McComas earned his undergraduate degree (B.A.) from Brigham Young University (1965) and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of California Hastings College of the Law (1968). He joins the firm after more than 32 years of active civil litigation in the State and Federal Courts in California. Mr. McComas associates with the firm in an “of counsel” capacity and will devote his efforts to serving the firm's clients in litigation matters. Mr. McComas is an active member of the California Bar, and passed the Utah Bar in 2004. He has been lead trial counsel in over 80 jury trials and over 100 matters in binding arbitration. He has represented clients in complex and multi-district litigation in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, construction defect, products liability, premises liability, medical negligence as well as commercial litigation in both State and Federal Courts. He brings to the firm a wide range of litigation experience that will be of great service and benefit to the firm's clients.


Bryan D. Nielsen, Attorney

Bryan earned his undergraduate degrees in Accounting (B.S.) and Business Management (B.S.) from the University of Utah in 2004.  He then earned his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Idaho College of Law (2007), where he graduated in the top ten percent of his class.  While in law school, Bryan served as Editor for the University of Idaho Law Review.  His areas of practice include all aspects of business law, from acquisition or start up and entity maintenance to the ultimate sale of the business.  Bryan enjoys estate planning, trusts, wills, family limited liability companies and partnerships, asset protection, and probate.  He also does considerable work in the areas of trademarks, real estate, and construction law. Bryan is married to the former Ashley Petersen, and they are the parents of one son.   


Hal Armstrong, Attorney

Hal Armstrong graduated from the University of Utah in 1999 with a B.A. in communication (public relations) and a minor in Spanish.  Hal obtained his juris doctorate degree from Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark Law School, in 2003.  After graduating from law school, Hal clerked for the Second Judicial District Court in Ogden, Utah, until 2005, when he entered private practice with a law firm in Salt Lake City that specialized in municipal defense litigation and professional licensing issues.  In early 2007, Hal joined Craig L. Taylor & Associates, P.C., where he handles a wide variety of commercial and real estate litigation issues for the firm.  In addition to his professional education, Hal completed the basic Russian linguist course at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California, and the U.S. Army Intelligence Interrogator School in 1993. Hal presently serves on the Utah Bar Journal Committee as a copy editor.  Hal is married to the former Andrea LeFevre, and they are the parents of two children.
